Fontaine de Vaucluse is a very popular tourist spot during the summer months. Its main attraction is the spring which flows out of a steep cliff 230 metres high. It is the largest, most powerful source in France and fifth in the world. The source runs into the River Sorgue creating a shady pool beneath large plane trees – something that is worth seeing if you are on holiday in the area.
